Chapter 7 -> I Can Be Your All

Safaree ran his hand over his face before getting up and going after her. He found her walking down the long hallway and quickly caught up with her.

SB: Nicki!

She kept walking. He held her by her wrist and backed her against the wall. He waisted no time in explaining who the female was.

SB: Calm down. Its just my sister

She looked at him confused. She didnt usually stay in the car when he brought her by so why now. He must have read what she was thinking

SB: I didnt know if you were up to having a guest thats why she stayed.

She looked away. He used his hand to gently turn her face back to his their eyes met

SB: After what happened do you actually think I'd be stupid enough to bring another woman here?

 A tear lingered on her cheek. He rested his forehead against hers and closed his eyes. They stayed that way in silence for a bit. He wanted to say so much but he knew he had to choose his words carefully with her and so instead of making the mistake of saying something stupid and losing her possibly forever he kept his mouth shut.

Nicki: please dont leave me

She said in a voice barely above a whisper. He raised his head and looked at her. She was looking at the floor

Nicki: please dont go

She said before raising her head and meeting his eyes with hers. He kissed her. A soft kiss that spoke so much.

SB: Nicki I...

Nicki: Faree please...

They were silent for minutes, just looking into each others eyes. Slowly she moved closer to him, closing her eyes  she kissed him. Their kiss lasted 5 minutes before she stopped, their lips still touching she spoke into his mouth

Nicki: make love to me

He kissed her back slipping his hand around her waist, her hands moved around his neck and he broke the kiss again.

SB: I want to... but I cant...  I wont... Not like this...

She loked down and he kissed her forehead.

SB: Im gonna drop my sister back at the apartment. I'll be back in a few ok

She shook her head yes

SB: Do you need anything?

Nicki: No

She said softly. He kissed her again before leaving.

Safaree returned and found her on the couch in the living room. The tv was on spongebob but her eyes were closed. He walked over to the couch and knelt down in front of her. He kissed the tip of her nose and she swatted him. Her eyes flew open when  she hit his face.

Nicki: Im so sorry

she said. He pecked her lips

SB: Its cool. I got you some ice cream.. Chocolate chip

She smiled and sat up. he handed her the ice cream and went to get her a spoon out of the kitchen. When he came back she had turned the tv down, rested the ice cream on  the coffee table and was fiddling with her fingers nervously. He sat beside her and handed her the spoon.

They spent the rest of their evening on the couch watching cartoons and laughing. She ate the tub of ice cream feeding him a spoonful every now  and then until it was finish.. She fell asleep with her head on his lap.

Nicki woke up in here bedroom to the smell of vanilla candles. The light dance on the walls in her bathroom. He walked in.

SB: Finally awake.. I ran u a bath. Water is just the way you like it. I'ma go back to making dinner

Half an hour later she walked into the kitchen in her pink PJs. She walked over to the counter and sat on a stool.

SB: I want you to taste something

Nicki: ok

she said as he walked over to her, the spoon in his right hand with the left under the spoon preventing any dripping to the floor. He brought the spoon to her lips and she opened her mouth looking into his eyes. She closed her lips over the spoon and he gently pulled it out. He awaited a response.

Nicki: mmm... that's so good what is that?

SB: a sauce

Nicki: -_________-.. what's in it?

SB: secret ingredients and nope I'm not tellin' you what they are.  what matters is that you like it

Nicki: not anymore.. its actually too tangy, could use some salt and some ginger.

She got up and walked over the refrigerator

SB: Lies!! Anyway dinner will be ready in a few

She closed the fridge and leaned against it opening the bottle of vitamin water she took out and took a sip.

Nicki: not eatin' till u tell me whats in that sauce

SB: Then I guess I'm eating alone or maybe I'll invite Sh.. Candi and Lauren over.

He couldnt believe he almost let her name slip. He thought he she didnt hear him but when he turn around and looked at her he knew she had. She sat at the table head down playing with the little corner of the plastic wrapper on the bottle that had lifted. He cursed himself silently.

SB: Nicki..

Nicki: you dont need to explain

She said without looking at him. She got up and walked to the patio doors, opening them she stepped outside and sat. She closed her eyes and used her fingers to massage her temples.

When he walked out and saw her he thought she was asleep.but she wasnt. He told her the food was ready and that he'd made her a plate but she told him she wasnt ready.

SB: Babe you need to eat

Nicki: Safaree I just said i wasnt fucking ready! I'll eat whenever the fuck i want to

She snapped at him. He didnt say another word, just went back inside. They didnt speak for the rest of the night. He went to their home gym to work off his anger at himself she went to her bedroom.

Nicki lay on her back in the middle of her king sized bed thinking about what the next day would be like. She wondered if she could call Wayne and cancel their studio time. They had a recording session scheduled. She was doing a verse for a song he was doing with her and Shanell and she was gonna be in studio. She closed her eyes and tried not to think about it. There was a soft knock on her bedroom door, she kept her eyes closed knowing it was him. He knocked several more times before he finally walked away.

Nicki took the headphones off as she finished her verse and walked out the booth.

Wayne: yo that verse was magic and you didnt pre-write it this time

Nicki smiled at him as she opened her bottle of water. Safaree was sitting on the couch eyes on his iPhone not paying attention to them, Shanell sat in the corner avoiding looking their way as she struggled to write her verse. She scoffed at what Wayne said about Nicki not having to write her verse this time and mumbled something inaudible. Wayne heard her mumbling and looked her way

Wayne: Nell maybe you should let Nic help you with your verse

Shanell shot him the WTF look

Nicki: bitch couldnt pay

She said just a little above a whisper and through clenched teeth thinking Wayne didnt hear her but he did so did Safaree. He figured something was going on between the two but decided to not address it right now and wondered why Shanell had said nothing to him. He looked at Nicki. Shit!! He heard me She thought to herself.

Nicki: is it cool if I run out and go get some food?

Wayne had told them before that he wanted them there until everyone had finished their verse and he had gone through and made edits. He really wanted to finish the song today.

Wayne: Wanted you to be here for her verse. Cant you just ask SB to get it like you usually do?

Nicki: *rolls eyes* I'll call and order

She said putting her bag back down and walking out the room. SB gave a little chuckle, shook his head and just continued looking at his phone. Wayne looked at him then at Shanell whose face was all screwed up from he mentioned Nicki helping her with her verse and thought back to Nicki's whole attitude since she's been in the studio and started piecing things together. Does this have to do with the kiss?... Has to be I  everything was cool before that. But I dont get Nic still being mad about it I mean I got over it and she's my girl. He thought to himself. He got up and went to find Nicki. There was more to this than just that kiss and he was gonna try to find out.

He found her downstairs in his living room sitting by herself scrolling through her phone.

Wayne: hey what are you doing down here by yourself?

Nicki: waiting on my food you asked me not to leave remember

She responded flatly

Wayne: yeah, I also mentioned SB going to get it as usual but he's still here

Nicki: I asked Lauren to pick it up and bring it by

she said qiuckly. She still hadnt looked up at him. He sat by her.

Wayne: Nic is there something going on with you Shanell and SB?

She hesitated before she answered

Nicki: nope there's nothing going on between ME and them. Absolutely nothing, cant say the same as to whether something is goin on between both of them though. That you would have to ask them

She said before getting up.

Wayne: are you saying you think there's something going on between SB and Shanell

Nicki: you know if you had let me go out and get my food I woulda been back already

She said changing the subject.

Wayne: I asked you a question. Your avoiding answering so Ima take that to be a yes.

Nicki: anything you wanna do

Wayne: Ok thats it! what the hell is goin on with you? I heard your little comment earlier talking about "bitch couldnt pay me" which tells me point blank that there is some tension between you too not to mention your whole attitude towards SB. I dont know what its about and to be honest its not my business but when it affects work I need yall to do together I make it my business. So ima ask you again whats goin on between you three?!

He shouted. She just stood there surprised that he had taken that tone with her. He could see the hurt in her eyes. He had never spoken to her that way before because no matter what the circumstances she was one to always get her work done. He apologized. He really didnt mean to attack her like that but that fact that after that kiss Shanell could still be goin behind his back with SB was eatin at him. She looked away tears forming in her eyes.

Nicki: you wanna know the truth Wayne... truth is.. right now... I dont like a bone in that bitch.

She looked him dead in the face

Nicki: Yes I said it... and I dont give a fuck if there is or isnt something going on between the two of them.. not one single fuck is given on this side. If there is something going on then go find out from them not me and yes I've been a bitch all morning my bad. Im sorry I couldnt be miss sunshine like I am every fucking day.

She said then grabbed her bag and walked out. On her way out she called Lauren who told her she was in the parking lot. She told her to stay in the car and that they were leaving.

***Wayne, Shanell and SB

He walked back into the studio, sat in his chair and took a sip of his drink.

Wayne: Shanell

She raised her head quickly and looked at him. She knew what was coming

Wayne: what's going on between you and SB?

Safaree finally looked up from his phone and looked at Wayne like he was stupid.

Shanell: I told u its nothing going on between us. Why cant you just believe that??

Wayne: well i dont know what to believe with what I've been seeing all day.... Why's Nicki so upset with you?

Shanell: she's still mad about that kiss!! God!! it was more than a week ago I dont see why she cant just let it go.. She acting like I stole her fucking man or something

Shanell said slamming her note pad closed and tossing the pen. Wayne thought for a bit then looked at Safaree who's thoughts seemed to be anywhere but on what was going on in that room.

Wayne: by the way, she left

he said to SB before turning his attention to the music.

As he walked in he heard music in the kitchen and the smell of her cooking filled his lungs. He walked in and stood in the door way. She was plating her spaghetti wearing pink lace boy shorts and a white tee with no bra on. His throat got dry and his hear began to race. She turned around and saw him.

Nicki: th fuck u looking at me like that for I aint your gypsy bitch!

She spat before sittin' down

SB: we need to talk Nicki

She began eatin and hummed to music coming from her surround sound. SB went to turn the music off

Nicki: dont even fucking play with me right now

SB: Im done playing with you that is why we are gonna talk right this minute cause im sick of you and this whole attitude. I told you there's nothing going on between Shanell and I. What the hell did you tell Wayne today?

Nicki: I dont know who the hell you think your talking to but its damn sure not a person in this room!

SB: yeah your right cause honestly I dont know where the adult that used to be around her went

She got leaving her food on the counter and stormed past him

SB:*chuckles* there you go again running like a scared child!! That's all you ever do these days run!!

She stopped at the bottom of the stairs her back to him

SB: you cant run forever Onika.

She just stood there her hand on the rail sweating as he walked  up behind her. He put his had on her hips and whispered in her ear

SB: stop running and let me be what you and I both know you want me to.

He moved her hair from her neck and gently sucked on it. A moan escaped her lips

Nicki: Sa-Safaree... stop

SB: Tell me you dont want this Makes circles with the tip of his tongue*

Nicki: sss... I.. mmm

SB: Tell me you dont wanna be with me

All she could do was moan

SB:tell me you dont love me

Nicki: I... *gasps* Faree.. mmmmnnn.. pl-please...

SB: please what?

He said running his right hand slowly down her thigh and over her crotch. She could feel her juices running on the inside of her thighs. But she was afraid  to give in to him. She'd been hurt so many time before and she didnt want to get hurt again. he heard a slight sob come from her before he noticed the tear on her cheek. He pulled away quickly.

SB: Nic... im sorry

She turned her face away from him. He ran his hand over his face and let out a sigh. She walked away quickly. up the stairs and to her bedroom.

A couple hours later as Safaree lay on his bed, grey boxers on, face illuminated by the moonlight through his window as he looked up at the dark ceiling he heard his door open. He didnt move he knew it could only be her. She stood in his door way for a bit just looking at his body as he lay out on his bed. She walked over to the foot of the bed and climbed up straddling him.

SB: Nicki what are you..

She put her finger on his lips for him to stop talking.

Nicki: I was upset because she had your lips before me. But it was my own fault I keep running from my feelings like you said. I do want this *kisses him* I do want you *kisses him again* Im done running *licks and sucks his bottom lips* I love you Safaree

Their kiss was long and passionate. Its like they were making up for all the times that could have been. They broke the kiss only for him to remove her top. She could feel him getting hard under her womanhood. She undid her bra and tossed it to the floor before going back in for his lips. He flipped them over putting her beneath him.
