Chapter 10 --> Trapped Pt 2

Nicki got up and did her regular morning routine in the bathroom, got dressed in a t-sirt and sweats then went downstairs to make herself breakfast. She did egg whites, waffles and bacon with a glass of OJ. When she was done she put the dishes in the dishwasher and made her way to the living room.She was about to open her mac when her phone rang. It was Lauren

Nicki: Hello
Lauren: hey boo. I was actually thinking you were still asleep and wouldnt answer. I know you sleep late on your days off
Nicki: Nah. Been up since 4am actually
Lauren: What?! You dont ever get up early on your own
Nicki: have a lot on my mind I guess. What's up though?
She said with a little attitude and wanting to change the subject
Lauren" mhm.. anyway we are having a little get together later my place just for a few hours and you know it wont be the same without you
Nicki: Laur, I'm really not up for a party
Lauren: come on Nic please. Its nothing big we're just chilling, eating and drinking like we usually do. Pleeeaaassee
Nicki: who's gon be there?
Lauren: Me, Candi, Thembi, TT the Vaks
Nicki: when you say the Vaks does that include Safaree?
Lauren: No. He said he wasnt gonna make it actually... Please.. see you have me begging
Nicki: *sigh* fine
Lauren: Aah!! yaay *big smile* Ok be ready for 7. Should I pick you up or are you gonna drive
Nicki: pick me up then you can get to do my makeup
Lauren: ok later boo.
they hung up.

After talking to her barbz on twitter Nicki closed her mac and channel surfed looking for something to watch. Nothing caught her eye so she turned the tv back off and lay there with her eyes closed. She couldnt help but think about the night Safaree had made love to her. How he took his time to kiss every inch of her body. The way his 9 inches felt inside her. She opened her eyes and scoffed at the wetness between her legs The looked at the clocked and she still had a couples hours before the party. She needed something to take her mind off Safaree. She decided to run a bit, so she went to her home gym and got on the treadmill. She ran for 30 minutes then stopped and rested for 10. She went to run herself a bubble bath to relax. Nicki closed her eyes and ran her hands over  her body enjoying the soothing feel of the hot water on her skin. she ran her hands down her stomach as thoughts of him flood her mind again. Before she knew it she had two fingers inside her and soft moans escaped her mouth. She couldnt stop herself. When she reached her peak she moan his name and held her breath as she shuddered. Slowly she opened her eyes and stared up at thje ceiling. A single tear ran down the side of her cheek.

NIcki lay in the middle of her bedin nothing but her robe with a pillow over her face talking to herself.

She looked at the time. She still had time before the party and she knew damn well everyone was gonna be late so it didnt even make sense checking. She couldnt take it she called Lauren back

Nicki: Laur Ima just come over now and get ready at your place.. i cannot stay in this house another minute. Ima go crazy.
Lauren: ok babe anything you wanna do.
Nicki:" aight be there in a few.

9:30 and all the men were mingling chatting away in Lauren's living room. All except Safaree that is.  He was there like Candi had said but deep down Nicki wanted him to be there. She didnt let it show though. She went downstairs got her some food then went back up to Lauren's guest bedroom to finish watching her movie. Shortly after Nicki made it back to the room there was a knock at the door so Lauren went to get it. It was Safaree and to everyone's surprise he a a companion. A female companion.

Candi: Oh no the fuck he didnt

she said under her breath. They stepped inside.

SB: Candi, Lauren. TT, Thembi this is Jhené and these are my friends I'l introduce you to the guys in a few.

Jhené: hi, its nice to meet you
She said with a smile. They all responded but she could see on Luren and Candi's face's that they werent pleased. Candi looked at Lauren, shook her head at Safaree then head up the stairs to check on Nicki. When she got to the room the movie had just finished, she had finished eating and she finally felt like she could go downstairs and have some fun they ran into each other at the door.

Nicki: yeah I know I need to come down. Lauren sent you to get me I bet.

Candi:  No actually. Nic wait before you go down we need to talk.
Nicki: does it have to do with HIM?

she said putting emphasis on the word him.

Candi: yes
Nicki: after the party. She said as she walked past her.
Candi: No it has to be.... before.
She didnt get to finish before Nicki was out of sight.
Candi: FUCK!! Why didnt you stop her?!
She head in the direction her friend had gone as she quickly dialed Lauren to tell her Nicki was on her way down. Lauren answered the phone with a simple "I know" before hanging up again.

When Nicki walked in Jhené was actually sitting with Thembi and TT so she didnt know who she was yet. Safaree was sitting talking to the guys and she walked past like she didnt see him. He just shook his head. She found Lauren in the kitchen. Getting more food ready to bring out to her guests.

Nicki: who's the chick sitting with TT and Thembz. I dont know her. Bet she's just another fast ass hoe picked up by one of them *shakes head*
Candi walked in
Lauren: Well.. her name... it's Jhené
Nicki: if you dont know her why is she here? Who invited her?
Lauren and Candi looked at each other
Nicki: somebody better say its not what Im thinking
They just looked at her. Nicki took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
Jhené: hey Lauren, may I have some water please. Oh hi, Nicki right? Im Jhené.
Nicki: So I've heard!
Jhené: pk
she said softly
Jhené: Thank you *shakes head and smiles*
She walked out with the bottle of water Lauren handed her. Nicki just stood there anger all over her face
Lauren: Nic calm down please.
She stormed out and bumped right into SB as she was out the kitchen
SB: you ok?
Nicki: you're suppose to say you're fucking sorry
everyone turned their attention to them. He ran his left hand over his face as he clenched the right into a fist. He took a deep breath before grabbing her by the arm and pulling her down the hallway to the downstairs bathroom. He pulled her in and slammed the door behind them before backing her against it. Everyone in the Living room was stunned. They had never seen Safaree that angry, more than half the room didnt know why., They werent even sure how to react.

Vincent: did we miss something?!
Thembi: guys shouldnt we should do something.. This could get outa hand
Rex: she's right
Lauren: No! Just let them be.
TT: Laur are you crazy! We all know what could go down in that room!
Lauren: Look Safaree would never hit her we all know that
Vincent: Lauren not even I believe that after the way he just grabbed her. We cant...
Lauren: JUST TRUST ME OK!
She shouted before walking away from them. Candi followed her,
Candi: come on Laur yes we had planned to get them alone.. well lock them in a room together until they made up but this.. this is crazy we need to stop this you know what the outcome could be.

---Meanwhile in the bathroom--

SB: what the fuck is problem Nicki?!
He screamed he the space on the door beside her head. Her breath caught as she looked in his eyes she had never seen him this angry before. Tears welled in her eyes and she closed them letting them run down her cheek

SB: No, no, no please please dont I sorry Im so sorry baby I just... You have no idea wwhat its been like beeing away from you and to come back and have you treat me like this...

He backed away from her as his own tears started to fall. He sat on the side of the tub and she slid to the floor. They were both quiet for a while.

Nicki: who is she?
she said in a small voice
SB: Just a friend I swear.
Nicki: No guy has a girl like that as just a friend
SB: Im not like other guys. Thought you'd know that by now
She looked at him
Nicki: you giving her money? cause i dont see why a pretty girl like that is gonna stay around a nigga that dont like her
SB: *chuckles* Im not giving her money Nicki and we're neighbors she lives in the apartment next to mine. She's a really good friend and a good listener
Nicki: So she has a crush on you cause it;s no way in hell ima sit andlisten to a total stranger's problems if I dont like him
SB: No she doesnt have a crush on me. But she does have one on you.
She didnt respond
SB: we clicked i guess because we're both going through problems with our girlfriends and it's funny cause the reason she's having problems with her girlfriend is because of you
Nicki widened her eyes and tilted her head to the side
SB: her girl thinks she's into you too much. Said she mistakingly called her by your name one night during sex and that was what cause them to not be on speaking terms right now.

She couldnt believe what she was hearing. She looked away from him and a smile crept onto her face. A smiled that turned to a giggle. He looked at her a smile on his face too.
SB: I missed that
He said. She looked at him, her smile not as defined as it was before, and then she looked down
Nicki: I missed you
She said softly.
Nicki: I'm the one who should be apologizing all. We wouldnt be here now if it was for...
He went over to where she wa son the floor and knelt. He lifted her face so her eyes would meet his.
SB: dont blame yourself. I was wrong for walking out.
He pecked her lips.
SB: I wont ever leave you again I promise
They kissed.

An hour had passed sinced Nicki and SB had been in the bathroom.

Candi: yall sure they aint both dead in there?
She said almost laughing. Everyone glared at her.
TT: ok thats it.. I dont care what none of yall say Ima go check on them

TT went to the bathroom door and knocked. She heard Nicki giggling.
TT: Oh hell... dont tell me yall in there gettin nasty while we out here thinking yall dead!!
Nicki: Ha! we arent doing anything Tyesha!! Nosy ass. The door wont opened we're stuck.
TT triied the door knock It just turned all the way around and didnt open.
TT: so yall couldnt yell or call or something to let us know ya asses was stuck in there
Nicki: so you couldnt have come check on us earlier?! and I left my phone upstairs fyi!
She responded with fake attituded
TT: see that's why yall gon stay in there

TT walked back to where everyone was.
Vincent: well?
TT: she is so rude! ugh!! anyway, they stuck the door handle's broken.
Everyone butsed out laughing except Lauren. She threw the cushion in her lap at Vincent's face
Lauren: didnt i tell your black ass to fix there door knob!
Candi: OH??
All the guys looked at Vince.

After a few minutes the door was finally off and Nicki and Safaree were able to come out. None of their friends questioned them on what had happened, at least not  yet *side eyes Candi*, they had seen that whatever it was, it was good since the whole vibe had change, For no weveryone was more interested in what was going on between Lauren and Vince. So they all sat there talking trying to piece things together. When Jhené saw that Nicki was about to look at her she turned her head away quickly. Her smile still present. Nicki knew she would eventually look again so she held her gaze and when she did she mouthed the words "Can we talk. Kitchen" and pointed towards the kitchen before getting up. Jhené followed her.

Nicki: So I wanna apologize if I seemed like a bitch earlier
Jhené: its ok.. I sorta expected it knowing the situation and I figured you probably think that we were together
Nicki: yeah I did actually. I mean which guy you know would be willing to be just good friends with such a beautiful girl like yourself?
Jhené: I know right. But he is so much different. He's so... real
Nicki: One o fthe reasons why I love him.
Jhené: *smiles* I bet
Nicki walked over to where she was standing and stood infront of her. Jhené's heart was beating in he mouth.
Nicki: he told me a few things about you
Jhené: he did?
Nicki: yup.. and honestly I think she's a damn fool.
She giggled. Nicki walked closer to Jhené and before she knew it Nicki was kissing her on the lips. Her breathing stopped, her heart stopped, her brain went blank.
Nicki: now she actually has a reason to be jealous
