Chapter 15 -> All From Your Body Language Pt 1

Macaiah quickly made his way to his bedroom and locked the door. He sat on his bed thinking about what he saw. He knew it wasn't Safaree because he had left Safaree and his mom in the kitchen making dinner. He knew that only left Jhnené, she was the only other person staying over. He thought about all the times Nicki would talk about girls intimately in her raps, raps he hid and listened to because he wasnt allowed to listened to some of her music.

At dinner he sat quietly eyeing Nicki every now and then and when their eyes made four he'd quickly look away.
Carol: So Jhené, how did you and my daughter meet?
Jhené: we *looks at Nicki*.. we met at a get together her friends were having. Safaree had brought me along with him
Carol looked at Safaree then Nicki and back to Jhené
Carol: oh, well how did you and Safaree meet?
Jhené: we lived next door to each other on the same apartment complex. We'd see each other in the mornings when we went to the gym and on other occasions
Carol: that's how you two became friends?
Jhené: yes ma'am
Nicki: Mom stop with the Q & A please you're making her uncomfortable
Carol: I'm just getting to know about her Onika, am I making you uncomfortable dear?
Jhené: *smiles* No ma'am
Carol: see
Nicki rolled her eyes.
Caiah: may I be excused please?
Carol looked and saw he had finished most his food so she allowed him to leave the table telling him before he left to make sure he went and took his bath.

When they were all finished eating Nicki and Jhené cleared the table while Safaree and Carol went to talk in the living room.

Jhené: *closes dishwasher* think you need to have a talk with your brother
Nicki: his ass shouldnt have been snooping around in the first place but I will
:Jhené: I doubt he was snooping more like looking to spend some time with his favorite and only famous big sis.
Nicki: *smiles* truuue
She said backing Jhené against the counter
Jhené: Nicki... what are you doing?
Nicki: what does it look like Im doing? Im about o kiss you
Jhené: haven't we gotten caught one time too many already and your mom and Safaree are in the other room
Nicki: ugh! Fine *folds arms and pouts*
Jhené: awwe bookie dont worry you'll get what you want soon and *whispers in her ear* it'll be worth the wait I promise... Now let's go up and you can go have a talk with the munchkin

When she got to got to Macaiah's room he was watching TV
Nicki: Hey
Caiah: Hey sis
Nicki: can I talk to you for I bit?
Caiah: sure
She went and sat on his bed and he turned the TV off
Nicki: about what you saw earlier I-
Caiah: Nicki I've seen two girls kiss before
Nicki: *shocked face* Macaiah Maraj where the-
Caiah: at school and stop freaking out I mean you talk about other girls in a lot of your raps
Nicki: raps you arent suppose to be listening to
Caiah: but I listen to them anyway. all my frineds do
He said with a little attitude
Nicki: oh?!
Caiah: besides now when kids at school say "your sister is a freak" I can say " and her girlfriend cuter than Angie Jolie" then walk away
Nicki: ok you know what *gently pushes him down on the bed, pulls cover over his head and and stacks two pillows on top of him* Shower and go to bed. You are too much..

After she left her brother's room she went to Jhené's. On opening the door she heard Carol clear her throat.
Nicki: hey, where's Safaree? I was just getting Jhené so we could watch a movie together
Carol: He's downstairs and I wont be joining you all for that movie however, I would like to speak to you before you go downstairs
Nicki: O..Okay *smiles* I'll be there in a few

As she walked into Jhené's room she walked out the bathroom with a yellow towel wrapped around her and her hair wet.
Nicki: *bites bottom lip gently and with a sly smile * looks like I'm right on time
Jhené: *smiles* dont start
Nicki: way to shut me down
Jhené: *giggles* how did it go with Macaiah
Nicki: well I will have you know that he claims to have seen two girls kiss before and says the next time kids at school tell him his sister is a freak he's gonna tell them that her girlfriend is cuter then Angie Jolie
Jhené: burst into giggles* he did not!!
Nicki: Oh girl he did
Jhené: he is too much
NIcki: tell me about it... anyway I was thinking we could watch a movie together so Ima shower and meet you downstairs. You can chill with Faree till I come.Ohh nd my mom wants to speak to me so Ima be a bit longer
Jhené: wait.. Macaiah didnt-
Nicki: No, no and he wont trust me
Jhené: ok... well go see what mama wants then
Nicki: son I feel like a teenager in my own home

She said as she walked out the door.

*****
*knocks door*
Nicki: mom, may I come in?
Carol: yes you may baby
Carol was in bed doing some light reading. When Nicki sat on the bed she put her book marker back in and closed the book.
Nicki: what's up?
Carol: you tell me Onika
Nicki: Well there's nothing much going on with  me. Just been doing some recording and interviews. The usual and I have a show coming up
Carol: not exactly the answer I was looking for. I had a little talk with Safaree about the whole apartment situation and a few other things
Nicki: mom I-
Carol: it's ok, you dont owe me an explanation. What I am curious about is your beautiful friend down the hall. Is there something going on between you two?
Nicki: Oh my G- What did Safaree say to you
Carol: so there is something going on?
Nicki: she's just a friend mom
Carol: Onika just friends is like you relationship with Lauren or Candice  you two sat  at that dinner table looking across at each other like you each wanted the other on the plates infront of you instead of my lasagna .
Nicki: MOM!! *shocked face* I am not about to have this conversation with you right
She got up to leave out the room
Carol: sweetie that man downstairs adores you. He would do anything to please you. I dont see why you feel the need to do this
Nicki: I know he does and he doesnt have a problem with this. We have an agreement!
Carol" and did you once stop and think that maybe he agreed to this because he doesnt want to lose you
Nicki: oh is that what he told you? cause he damn sure seemed happy when he was saying this could be a win situation for him. What he couldnt hold his own so he sent you to do his dirty work
Carol: you will watch your language when you speak to me! an Safaree didnt ask me to speak to you about this.! I did it because-
Nicki: because what?! you dont think its right?! Its MY choice, Im an adult its my mistake to make and this is my house!!
She yelled back.
Carol: *raises hands in defeat* Ok Onika *shakes head*
Nicki: Mom I-
Carol: Dont... I'd like to go to bed now if thats not too much to ask
Nicki: Mom..
Carol: Onika just leave me be.. please

As she walked slowly down the hallway towards her bedroom Jhené saw her and asked if she was ok.
Nicki: Just fine!
She responded sarcastically
Nicki: meet you downstairs in a few k
Jhené: ok

Nicki took a hot long shower then pulled on a fitted t shirt and a Victoria's secret shorts. When she got downstairs she found Jhené alone
Nicki: where's Faree
Jhené: said we should go ahead and start without him. How'd it go with your mom?
Nicki: bad! *sigh* she knows
Jhené: knows what?
Nicki: about us
Jhené: How?!
Nicki: she says she saw the way we were looking at each other.
Jhené: I mean yeah we did exchange some intense stares but.. thats all
Nicki: Né its my mother she's psychic
Jhené: what'd she say?
Nicki: I really .. I dont wanna think about it right now. She was just being-
Jhené: you mother. Nicki you need to make things right with her
Nicki: I plan to
Jhené: ok so go
Nicki: Now? trust me she does not wanna speak to me right now
Jhené: yes now and if she doesnt respond just tell her what you have to say
Nicki: what about our movie time
Jhené: your mom is more important

*****
She knocked on Carol's bedroom door before opening it and looking in
Nicki: May I?
Carol: It's your house Onika do as you please
She was still reading. Nicki walked over to the bed and sat down
Nicki: Mom Im sorry. I was disrespectful and I really didnt mean to go off on you like that I know you're just looking out for me. I appreciate that. I would like to ask though, I know you may not agree with what is going on with Jhené, Safaree and I, but I ask that you respect my choices please and if this all blows up in my face then you have all the right to say I told you so..

She waited for Carol to say something but nothing came
Nicki: So.. you're not talking to me now?...... *sigh* I'll leave you now.  I love you. Good night ma.
Carol: good night
She closed the door behind her and stood outside it for a few seconds before making her way down the stairs.

***NEXT DAY***

Candi: I bet her ass still asleep
She said as Lauren opened the front door with her key
Lauren: you know damn well her ass still asleep she has a man and a woman to give her afreaking workout in the nights
Candi: she wouldnt! Not with Mama C and Caiah in the house
Lauren: her freaky ass prolly.. No., Nope forget it
Lauren said they walked into the kitchen each holding a bottle of GTvodka
Carol: Morning ladies
Both: Good morning mom
They each gave her a hug. She was making coffee
Carol: isnt it a bit too early to be drinking that?
Candi: oh we dont plan to drink it right now. Its for later
Carol: *smiles* would you girls like some coffee?
Both: sure. thank you
Lauren: Its after 11 Nicki isnt up yet?
Carol: havent seen her since last night and Ive been up since 5am
Candi: what about Jhené?
Carol: havent seen her either
Lauren: Safaree?
Carol: out since 8 Caiah is with him and teh other guys. they took out that fancy car Macaiah has been going on and on about
Candi: the T-Rex
Carol: I believe that's it.
Candi: they wont be home anytime soon
Carol finished her coffee washed the cup and turned it down. Just as she did there was a knock at the front door
Carol: that must be the driver
Candi and Lauren looked at each other and followed her out to the living room. It was then that they noticed her luggage beside the couch, her purse resting neatly on top.
Candi: we thought you were leaving on Tuesday?
Carol: decided to cut my trip short
Lauren: what about Caiah
Carol: he'll come back on Tuesday as planned. Safaree is flying up with him
The girls looked at each other
Carol: ok ladies take care of yourselves and hope to see you soon
Candi: Something went down in this house last night
Lauren: tell me about it
As the front door closed they both made their way up to Nicki's room and begab knocking on the door. After a few minutes they heard her yell " Macaiah leave me alone" so Candi yelled back
Candi: it's not Caiah he's not here!
A few more minutes passed and the door opened.
Nicki: why are yall at my door yelling so early in the morning and where is Macaiah?
Candi: FYI its after 12 and he's out with Safaree. They've been out since 8 this morning. Took the T Rex out.
Nicki: you too have been here since 8?
Lauren: Hell No! we do have lives sweetie
Candi: and me
Nicki and Lauren looked at her eyes wide
Nicki: *rolls eyes* anyways how do you know Caiah isnt here then
Lauren: Mama C
Nicki: Oh.. Where is she?
Candi: On her way to the airport
Nicki: what?!

Yeah, Soo No I dont like this half of this chapter seems a bit blah, but I hope you do. Comment tell me how you feel what you think is gonna happen..... There was more, however my fingers are tired, Im tired and there's a 3yr old nagging me for tea and wants me to play when he should be sleeping. He is the reason I didnt finish typing from earlier.
