She stopped singing as the beat continued to play until it faded. She walked out the booth

Sean: whoa!! Who was that about

Jhené: No one

She responded without looking at him.

Sean: right...

She eyed him

Sean: you done for the day?

Jhené: yeah.. I have a job that I'm already late for.

Sean: Ima find out who it is you know that right?

She didnt respond

Sean: no notebook which you usually carry you just went in and sang right to the end of that song and you tryna tell me it was noone.. yeah right

she still didnt respond just took her bag up and head to the door

Jhené: goodbye Sean!

She said said as she opened the door, without looking back.

Nicki: Fareeeee

when he didnt get a response she pouted and grabbed her phone to text him. Too lazy to get up and go find him.

babe where are you? -N

In the kitchen what's wrong?-S

Oh.. nothing. what r u doing? -N

making breakfast.. I knew you'd be up soon. Do you want tea or OJ? -S

mmm OJ.. Hurry up I miss you :) -N

Lol awe I miss you too baby. be up in a few -S

Just as Safaree was setting the tray down on the bed Nicki walked out of the bathroom in her towel, with water droplets on her shoulder and arms and hair wet.

SB: hey beautiful

Nicki: hey

She went on her tip toes and pecked his lips. He reached around squeezing her butt causing her to moan slightly into his mouth. He pulled away

SB: you hungry?

Nicki: very..

She sat on the bed and he sat putting the tray in front of her.

Nicki: feed me *Closes eyes tighly with mouth open*

He chuckled and began feeding her. When he was done she got dressed and he went to clean up the kitchen. They were free for the day.

Safaree was in the gym getting an evening workout while Nicki lay out on the couch in the living room watching Judge Judy and writing another text to Jhené. "I'm starting to think you're avoiding me" it read. She sent it off and turned her attention back to the TV screen.

Jhené read the text from Nicki and let out a deep sigh. She was just about getting ready to leave work. Her computer at her desk was shutting down and she had all her stuff packed up to go. She replied to Nicki's text

I'm not avoiding you. I've just been busy at work. - J

Ok.. Are you doing anything later? Can you come by? - N

Yeah actually I have a few friends coming over. Sorry. - J

Ok. Well can I see you tomorrow? - N

Umm.. I'll let you know. G2g, later. - J

Later - N

Jhené grabbed her bag and the folders on her desk and headed out of her office. She was pissed with herself for just lying to Nicki. She really didnt have anyone coming over, she was going home to lay in bed alone. Maybe write and new song or read a book.

After talking to Jhené Nicki went to shower with Safaree. They were going out. Neither wanted to cook so they were gonna go buy food and Safaree had somethings he wanted to pick up from his apartment. Nicki also thought she'd get the chance to at least say hi to Jhené. When they got to the apartment Safaree unlocked the door and went in Nicki looked around for a bit then sat on the bed as Safaree packed up what he needed in a duffle.

Nicki: Faree is it the apartment directly across from yours that's Jhené's?

SB: *looks at her* yeah.. why?

Nicki: Oh.. Ima go say hi. That ok with you?

SB: Yeah sure

He said with a hint of annoyance in his voice but she brushed it off.

Nicki knocked on Jhené's door and didnt get an answer. She knocked again.

(On the inside) Jhené heard the knock on her door and paused wondering who it could be. She wasnt expecting anyone over. She looked through the peep hole and didnt see anyone. Nicki wasnt standing directly in front of the door.

Jhené: who is it?

Nicki: It's me.

Jhené froze. She knew Nicki's voice all too well.

Jhené: umm... coming

She took a breather and then slowly opened the door

Nicki: hey

Jhené: hey

she replied barely above a whisper and not looking at Nicki

Nicki: Am I interupting you?

Jhené: No I'm alone ummm... come in

Nicki stepped into the apartment and turned looking at Jhené who was slowly shutting the door.

Nicki: Thought you were having friends over?

Nicki asked with her eyebrow raised and her head tilted slightly to the side

Jhené: yeah, about that... I-

Nicki: It's ok. I get it. But I would have really appreciated it if you had just told me you didnt want to see me.

Jhené: Nic that's not it

Nicki: Then what is it?

Jhené ran her hands through her hair and looked off to the side. She didnt answer Nicki's question

Nicki: Ok fine I'll just leave

She said and walked towards the door which Jhené had been leaning against. She reached for the door knob  . And Jhené place her hand on hers stepping a bit closer

Jhené: Don't go... Please

Nicki felt a shiver run through her body when Jhené put her hand over hers. She turned to her and Jhené slowly leaned in to kiss her. Nicki closed her eyes and kissed her back. They ended up with Nicki against the door, her hands around Né's neck, he fingers tangled in her hair and Né's hands on her waist they were both stratled by a knock on the door.

SB: Nic..
